After you finish resetting windows 10, check for latest Update and also Update Windows Store apps. I had the same issue, Then I manually updated windows to version , Once I did this I clicked install through windows store and it worked without the error.
Hope this helps. If updates are available, install them. When I try to download it through the Store nothing happens at all and when I try installing it with the Xbox beta app it starts preparing and says unkown error 0x Windows is up to date store and beta app also.
Any ideas? Mine wont install saying install on xbox I didnt think it mattered in the Microsoft store I requested a refund. I believe the Xbox Beta app forced an update this morning and not Gears 5 is downloading!

Multiple applications could cause freezing depending on your graphics card and it's memory. I have the same issues, game freezes and crashes, I did detailed post about It here and Gears forums:. I was ignored, only Nvidia replied my by e-mail but the problem isn't solved yet. I uninstalled the game. I wanted to buy It on Steam, I had to play It on normal Xbox One but Is annoying this kind of issues happen, Is like Gears of War 4 issues weren't solved, the same issues like freezes, crashes, stuttering, etc.

I have been having trouble with gears 5 since the 10th and i have tried everything from updating my drivers and updating windows and it continues to freeze up on me my pc meets all the recommended settings to run the game i have even dropped the frame rate and still same result I am out of ideas is any one else having this issue any suggestions would be much appreciated.
